Mary, Buddha and something about myself

Tonight new moon, today my birthday, 61 years. A new passage in my existence. I am going to live from the truth, as the Greeks called it: aletheia, literally unconcealed, original existence. Furthermore, in the long term I will focus on being a pastor, giving lectures and, new for me, coaching and therapy.
Today, December 8, the Roman Catholic Church celebrates the feast of Mary's Immaculate Conception. It is the feast that Mary was born without sin. In the tradition, the feast is also called Our Lady Immaculate Conception as the church in Overveen is called where I have been a small decade pastor, spiritual caretaker and confirmation mentor. Mary who, without sin, unburdened by the original sin, and therefore without unnecessary thoughts about what to do and what not to do or say, came into the world and thus became the mother of Jesus. Jesus' name means: God saves. Mary came immaculate, uninhibited and receptive in the world.
Today, December 8, it is also Bodhi Day. Millions of Buddhists in the world celebrate that Buddha became enlightened about 2500 years ago. Bodhi means being enlightened or being an enlightened person. Buddha, the enlightened, also teaches us to go through life without unnecessary worries and to live in the here and now. Perhaps the sin is that we are too much burdened by thoughts and are in thoughts. Therefore let us take Mary and Buddha as an example to live a life without sins and worries, without unnecessary thoughts, to live in the here and now. As Jesus said: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow or as Osho said: Yesterday is a memory; tomorrow is a mystery; now is the moment.
